Lucero Del Castillo Ames (Lima, 1981) es fotógrafa con un Magíster en Antropología por la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2021) y otro en Fotografía Contemporánea por el Centro de la Imagen (2018).
Su trabajo se concentra en las dinámicas entre género y poder generadas por las condiciones socioeconómicas y el consumo cultural abordados desde una aproximación documental y artística. Investiga diversos archivos y explora la relación entre imágenes y textos con el objetivo de historizar la mirada y desarticular discursos hegemónicos.
Fue ganadora de los Estímulos Económicos en Artes Visuales 2022 y finalista del PHmuseum 2018 Women Photographers Grant. Ha participado en exposiciones en Perú y Francia y es docente universitaria. En el 2023 publicó, en coautoría con Víctor Vich, el fotolibro Contrapunto y realizó el cortometraje El principio de lo terrible.

Lucero Del Castillo Ames (Lima, 1981) is a photographer with a Master's degree in Anthropology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2021) and another in Contemporary Photography from the Centro de la Imagen (2018).
Her work focuses on the dynamics between gender and power generated by socioeconomic conditions and cultural consumption addressed from a documentary and artistic approach. She researches diverse archives and explores the relationship between images and texts with the aim of historicizing the gaze and disarticulating hegemonic discourses.
She was winner of the Economic Stimulus in Visual Arts 2022 and finalist of the PHmuseum 2018 Women Photographers Grant. She has participated in exhibitions in Peru and France and is a university professor. In 2023 she published, in co-authorship with Víctor Vich, the photobook Counterpoint and made the short film The beginning of terror.
